Last June 20th, the Flexcrash partner Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH disseminated the project during the Austrian Advanced Lightweight Technology (A2LT) meeting which took place in Graz, Austria.
Erinc Kahraman, project partner and researcher at Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH, attended the event and offered a general overview about Flexcrash, introducing its main objectives, the roadmap, the different phases of the project and the expected results and benefits to attendants from industry, as well as researchers, academics and professors from universities. The presentation was delivered together with representatives from SALIENT, one of Flexcrash sister projects, which is working on the development of novel concepts for safer, lighter, circular and smarter vehicle design.
The Flexcrash project, funded by the Horizon Europe programme, is developing a light weight and circular automotive front structure that supports the European long-term goals on zero emissions mobility and reduction in injuries and fatalities due to crashes.
A2LT, member of the European Lightweight Association, is a joint initiative which brings together the competencies of Austrian companies and research institutions in the field of lightweight construction.
