Project partners from Luleå University of Technology attended the Swedish Mechanic Days celebrated from 17th – 19th of June at the Chalmers University of Technology of Gothenburg, Sweden.
Biswajit Dalai, project partner and PhD candidate from Luleå University of Technology, presented the article “Material characterisation of a high pressure die cast secondary aluminium alloy”, which is based on the investigation carried out within Flexcrash. The research work presented showcased the challenges created by the discontinuous skin that is formed during the high pressure die casting of a recycled alloy.
Flexcrash partners Simon Jonsson, Jörgen Kajberg and Liang Yu, from Luleå University of Technology, and Manel da Silva from Eurecat, also contributed to the work presented in the paper.
The Swedish Mechanic Days, that celebrated its 28th edition, is a series of biannual conferences organised by the Swedish National Committee for Mechanics, covering analytical, experimental, numerical and pedagogical/educational studies in the broad field of mechanics. The conference is also an excellent opportunity for senior researchers and PhD students to showcase and share ongoing research related to mechanics.
