The Flexcrash project was featured at the FLAMINGo project final event, held on October 15th in Munich, Germany. This event took place as part of the eMove360° International Conference & Trade Fair for electric and autonomous mobility.
Representative from the Flexcrash team, Christian Kurzböck of Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH, gave a presentation titled “Flexcrash, new generation of crash-tolerant structures”. The presentation provided a comprehensive overview of the project, detailing its core objectives, development roadmap, key phases, and expected outcomes. Flexcrash is designed to push the boundaries of safety in the automotive sector by developing advanced crash-tolerant structures.

The conference also featured contribtutions from other leading EU-funded projects in the automotive sector, including Zevra, MULTHEM and MIMOSA, along with the participation from the European clusters EnLightEVs and COLLABAT. Moreover the conference featured a great array of industry experts and representatives, who shared valuable insights and expertise in the EV field, enriching discussions on the future of electric mobility.
FLAMINGo, a Flexcrash-sister project, showcased its work on lightweight, high-performance aluminum composite materials aimed at boosting the efficiency and sustainability of electric vehicles. Together, these projects highlight Europe’s commitment to innovation in the EV sector, paving the way for safer, more efficient, and eco-friendly automotive solutions.
