Project partners from Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH participated in the Japan Safety Update, a leading event focused on on the latest requirements and innovations for automotive safety development, held from July 22 – 23 in Tokio, Japan.
Representing FlexCrash, Christian Kurzböck from Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH, took part in the “Virtual Testing” session, where he delivered a presentation titled “Smart, Safe, Sustainable: Tailored Structures from recycled Aluminium”.
In his talk, Kurzböck highlighted FlexCrash’s advancements in crash-tolerant structure, designed to withstand a wide range of impact angles and unexpected crash conditions.
The SafetyUpDate Japan attracted over 100 automotive safety experts from Japan and around the globe, gathering to explore the latest regulatory requirements and innovations in active and passive safety. The 2025 program offers a well-balanced mix of regulatory updates, high-end simulation topics, digital validation, as well as material and structural innovations – complemented by networking opportunities and practical insights into the latest developments in the industry.
