Flexcrash partner Biswajit Dalai, from Luleå University of Technology (LTU), presented part of his investigation carried out within the project in the 6th International Conference on Processing & Characterization of Materials (ICPCM24) held in Rourkela, India, from December 5 to 7.
The work titled “Influence of inhomogeneous skin formation on the tensile properties of a high pressure die cast recycled secondary aluminum alloy”, delved into the failure of cast component caused by the inhomogeneously formed surface skin which resembled “waves and lakes” type of casting defect.
The ICPCM Conference, organised by the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, serves as a catalyst for synergistic interactions between the scientific community and industry. Additionally, the conference offers an unparalleled platform for burgeoning researchers to glean insights from the expertise and the collective wisdom of seasoned luminaires, distinguished scientists, engineers, and technocrats in their respective fields.
