Eurecat hosted the FlexCrash General Assembly in Barcelona from 9–12 February, bringing together project partners to review progress and align on the next steps toward developing the next generation of crash-tolerant structures.
The meeting provided an opportunity to share updates on project achievements, discuss component design and testing scenarios, and define priorities for the project’s final year.
Launched in September 2022, the FlexCrash project is developing flexible, hybrid manufacturing technologies to produce tailored, adaptive crash-tolerant structures using green aluminium alloys. The initiative focuses on selected vehicle components, applying surface patterns to pre-formed parts to reduce weight, enhance safety, and optimise crash performance in current and future vehicles.
