Flexcrash project was presented at the 9th International Conference on Hot Sheet Metal Forming of High-Performance Steel (CHS2), celebrated from 27 – 29 of May in Nashville, TN, USA.
Simon Jonsson, project partner and PhD student at the Luleå University of Technology (LTU), attended the conference and presented the work “Microstructure Evolution, Mechanical Properties and Fracture Analysis of a High Pressure Die Cast Secondary AlSi10MnMg (Fe) Alloy”, which is based on some research produced within Flexcrash.
The work, contributed by Biswajit Dalai, PhD student at LTU, introduces a preliminary study into the microstructure and mechanical properties of a secondary AlSi10MnMg (Fe) alloy produced with High-Pressure Die Casting (HPDC).
The 9th International Conference on Hot Sheet Metal Forming of High-Performance steel (CHS2) was organized by Flexcrash partners Eurecat Technology Centre, Luleå University of Technology and The Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST) aiming at gathering specialists from all over the world to exchange their knowledge on topics like hot forming, tailored properties, microstructure, mixed materials, performance of new materials, modelling, etc.
