The Flexcrash project was represented during the Advanced Factories Congress, the annual meeting of industry leaders, celebrated from 9th – 11th of April in Barcelona, Spain.
Eurecat, acting as the project’s coordinator, attended the event and distributed Flexcrash brochures to all attendees approaching its own booth D521 located at Hall 2. Additionally, the project’s animated video was showcased to offer an introductory overview of the Flexcrash and explain its main objectives and expected impacts.
The Flexcrash has the objective to develop a flexible and hybrid manufacturing technology to enhance weight reduction and crash resistance by locally reinforcing the critical areas for a crash event, creating structures that are safer and lighter compared to current solutions.
Advanced Factories brings together the leading companies in industrial innovation with professionals of the sector seeking the best solutions in automation, digital manufacturing, machine tools and robotics, together with the technologies allowing the promotion of industrial competitiveness, new business models, new production processes and the introduction of Industry 4.0.
