On September 5th, the FlexCrash project was featured during the webinar “EARPA Projects Unveiled: A Showcase of Cutting-Edge Automotive Research Projects” organised by EARPA – the European Automotive Research Partners Association.
This exclusive event brought together pioneering EARPA members working at the forefront of automotive research. From R&D experts and policymakers to industry leaders and enthusiasts, participants had the opportunity to learn directly from the teams shaping the future of mobility.
Sergi Parareda, project’s technical coordinator and researcher at the Metallic and Ceramic Materials Unit of Eurecat, highlighted FlexCrash as a key European project driving innovation in mobility and automotive safety. FlexCrash focuses on developing a new generation of crash-tolerant structures made from sustainable, green aluminium, paving the way for safer and more environmentally friendly vehicles.
During his presentation, he provided an overview of the project’s objectives, its consortium, and the expected impact of its innovative solutions.
The webinar also featured presentations from the LeMesurier and MAGELLAN projects, two other EU-funded initiatives leading efforts to advance sustainability, safety, and circularity in road transport.
